If you witness discrimination at work, act immediately.
Racist or sexist comments are so deeply hurtful, they cannot be allowed to stand unchallenged even for a few moments. Speak up, even if the offended party doesn’t. Don’t allow gaslighters to dismiss aggression as horseplay or friendly joshing. But use your judgement. It’s okay for people who get on well to poke fun at one another. But what’s okay on the football field might not be at a barbecue or in the boardroom.
